Knitting and other projects

Yesterday I learned a couple new ways to approach knitting. I learned another way to purl that is more efficient and another way to knit a lot faster and easier on the joints. When I use the Continental style of knitting, I have switched my purling technique to the Norwegian purling style in which the yarn is still held in the back, as for knitting, but you bring the stitch around to catch the yarn instead. As for the method that is easier on the joints, and also another way to make purling insanely easy, is the Portuguese knitting style. Neither hand holds the yarn. The yarn is wrapped around your right hand middle finger and either around your neck or around a "knitting pin". It's a lot more comfortable to knit this way.
Food for thought. :)

I'm so excited to get started on two pairs of socks that I'm making for my friend Ashley and her mom. I was able to make a trip to Michael's and pick up the yarn for their socks that they gave me money for today, so I'm going to start on them as soon as I'm done with my chores and homework lol

Sorry there aren't any pics for this project but I just had to say that I am SO thrilled right now!! The going has been very easy for the knit cabled hoodie. Great for commuting on the bus! I have completed both sleeves and the back as of today. :D I will start the front tomorrow and also get some more yarn as I will need two more skeins. It's looking great so far! I'll try to get some pics before tonight!

Dear Readers,
Well, it has been done. I have unravled what I had of the loop cable vest and instead of going off and spending money I literally don't have on crochet hooks, knitting needles and more yarn (because I can never have too much of that!) I decided I'd work on a sweater I wanted to make... though it says 5 skeins for the sweater and I only have the 3 from the vest, I decided that it's an ok start. So, the pattern I'm using now is this one: Knit Cabled Hoodie
I have most of the first sleeve done:

I started with the sleeves because I wanted to make sure that the gauge was right and I didn't feel like knitting a swatch. So since the gauge is correct as always with my knitting, I've been steaily working on this sleeve for a total of about 9 hours now. My boyfriend Gary helped knit a coule inches of it as well. Thank you, Gary!
I also finished my congo socks!!!

Happy Knitting and God Bless!

My second pair of socks turned out to be quite the juicy color scheme... I decided I'd modify the Self-Striping Socks pattern (as mentioned in my last post) for the watercolor stripe socks, as I wanted to practice the SR, or Short Row, heels and toes. I have successfully completed the pair and can't wait to start double knitting another pair!!!
Finished SR pair:

I have two more pairs to finish with the Self-Striping Socks pattern before I venture out on a limb and attempt to double knit a pair of SR socks!! After I finish the socks though, I'd like to finish the afghan I started around the same time as the socks. I'd then like to venture out to knitting a hooded sweater with Red Heart Soft Yarn!
Side note for the third project I was working on....the Loop Cable Vest.... I am horrible at crochet. With knitting I have little or no need for gauge taking. With crochet it's a very different story. On the pattern for the loop cable vest it said what size of hook I needed and what the gauge should be... So I got the materials and trusted the pattern to the gauge as always. So I circled the size and numbers I'd need for the vest size that would fit me. According to the gauge, the long strip of fabric should measure approximately 40", to fit a just under 40" waist. My waist is 32", and because I didn't check my gauge, when I measured the piece of fabric I noticed that it only measured 28" from side to side. I then checked the row gauge. I had 10 rows to 4" instead of 8. I need a bigger hook to be able to crochet my size. The next size up that I own is a size P-16, which is too big. I'll have to go shopping for some in between sizes and then take a gauge in the pattern before continuing to finish the vest. Other than that the pattern looks great. I don't have the money for more yarn right now, so I'll just get the filler hooks right now and unravel (*sad*) what I have so far, which is only about 5" or so, so it's not too much of a heartbreaker.
Happy knitting and crocheting!
Moral of todays post: CHECK YOUR GAUGE!!!!

As of yesterday I am working on three projects... well, five as I'm making 3 of one pattern. lol
Click on the links below to see the patterns:
Self-Striping Knit Socks
Crochet Restful Tiles Throw (it's a little smaller than a twin size afghan...but a little bigger than crib size)
Crochet Loop-Cable Vest
I'm not far along enough on the projects to post any pics except for this one:
Self-Striping Knit Socks
First pair is half way done :)

I modified the pock pattern to fit my liking. I like longer cuffs than leg portions of the sock...so I made the cuff 8" and the leg 1.25", a mistake I'm going to make deliberately in the second one. The two other pairs shall be made with a 6.75" cuff and a 1.25" leg. However, two skeins does cover it if I wanted the other pairs to have 8" cuffs...so I just might do that.
Happy knitting and crocheting to you all and talk later!

I just recently finished a baby's hat!!

These are the materials I used:
--- 1 skein Patons Grace 100% Cotton Yarn in black (136yds per skein)
--- Four size 2 double pointed needles
--- Yarn needle
The pattern I used was an edited pattern for the "Baby Stripe Knit Cap", which I downloaded for free off the Knitting Daily website, and was fairly easy to do. It took me about 2 1/2 days to finish.
This is the pattern as I changed it:
CO 104 sts, join in rnd and knit in garter st for 8 rows (knit 1 row, purl 1 row)
Knit in Stst until the piece measures 3.5" from the last garter row
Begin dec rnds:
Rnd 1: * k11, k2tog rep from * to end of rnd; 96 sts
Rnd 2-24: k even
Rnd 3: * k10, k2tog rep from * to end of rnd; 88 sts
Rnd 5: * k9, k2tog rep from * to end of rnd; 80 sts
Rnd 7: * k8, k2tog rep from * to end of rnd; 72 sts
Rnd 9: * k7, k2tog rep from * to end of rnd; 64 sts
Rnd 11: * k6, k2tog rep from * to end of rnd; 56 sts
Rnd 13: * k5, k2tog rep from * to end of rnd; 48 sts
Rnd 15: * k4, k2tog rep from * to end of rnd; 40 sts
Rnd 17: * k3, k2tog rep from * to end of rnd; 32 sts
Rnd 19: * k2, k2tog rep from * to end of rnd; 24 sts
Rnd 21: * k1, k2tog rep from * to end of rnd; 16 sts
Rnd 23: * k2tog rep from * to end of rnd; 8 sts
Divide 8 sts onto 2 needles, 4 on each needle, and graft them together using the Kitchener Stitch. Weave in any loose ends.

I have been reading several books over the past few weeks, and here are their titles and my reviews for them:
Duma Key by Stephen King My Rating: *****
One of his best novels, Duma Key is set on a deserted island off the coast of Florida. The story of contracoup injuries and wife troubles and cursed paintings and the deep friendship between Freemantle and Wireman is a guaranteed page-turner.
The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn by Mark Twain My Rating: *
Not sure why this book is read at all...very boring, very pointless. A waste of my time.
The Hobbit by J.R.R. Tolkien My Rating: *****
I've now read this novel three times, and every time, I am reminded of the great writing skills of the most wonderful novelist of his time. I have shared this book with myself, my brothers, and most recently, my boyfriend. We all have enjoyed this book from cover to cover. Timeless!
As for crafts, I have been working on a knitted two-tone dolphin piece for my aunt's birthday. Light blue and dark blue are the colors I chose. Based on a two-color crossstitch pattern, I converted the stitches to knitted stitches, and it has turned out quite nicely. (Here is the pattern: http://hobbyloco.com/needle/dolphin1c.g if )
I have also been working on a pair of socks on size 2 double pointed needles with black yarn. The pattern can be found on http://www.knittingdaily.com/ . It is called Diagonal Rib Sock. Very fun and an absolute joy to make!!
Happy reading and happy knitting!!!

The preshow was last night and OHHH MAN am I stoked for tonight!!! The preshow was at Studio7 last night and we had some shittin' good bands playing!!! Jupiter Crash, Windowpane, and Art of Dying. Just after Jupiter Crash and before Windowpane, there was an acoustic AIC set played by Travis Braht of Second Coming and George Grissum of Counterfist.
Everyone sang Happy Birthday to Layne after the first two sets. My brothers and I, along with all of the other kids there, were able to go up on stage to blow out the candles on Layne's birthday cake!! Afterward, when Travis was putting the cake back down on the water bottles, he lost it's balance and it started to slide. I saw it coming, so I rushed over and before I could so much as reach for it---FOP! Down came his hand, right on a corner of the cake. I helped him scoot it back up to the water bottles, but he had stopped it from falling with his hand.
I'll finish later.. 8D

Your favorite number is 3. You have to send this to 14 people in one hour. The person who loves you most is Gary. John likes you the most. Devry knows you the best. Nathan has a positive influence on you. Alex is the person that you love the most, but a relationship would never work between you. "Love Me When I'm Gone" is the song that describes your feelings for Gary. "What Hurts The Most" is the song that coordinates somehow with Alex. "It's All Coming Back To Me now" is the song that perfectly describes who you are. "No Air" is the song that best describes your life.

"Once Upon A Time - A Poem"
Plastic smiles on plastic faces,
Standing still, too many places.
Lonely Summer, Winter's cold,
Of sleeping pill, lucky ones die old.
Shining amber and gray,
Come lover's death in May.
With empty heart comes hope,
Finding half, turns to cope.
Lost in straight lines,
Following curves inside.
Bright mines,
Darkness collide.
Love happens only once,
Once is only once.
Love happened only once,
Once Upon A Time.
Plastic smiles on plastic faces,
Standing still, too many places.
Lonely Summer, Winter's cold,
Of sleeping pill, lucky ones die old.
Shining amber and gray,
Come lover's death in May.
With empty heart comes hope,

I went to the mall today to hang out with my friend Spencer, right? Well, I had a bit of trouble with the bus schedule....XDDD Here is how it played out: Long story.. xD Well, I leave the house at 1:30pm to catch the 1:46 R-11, right? I get to the *1st* intersection at 1:42 so I start hauling some ass. I'm tearin up the sidewalk, holding my bag so it doesn't spill. I see the bus hauling ass down the road and it goes NEEERRRRRRRROOOOOMMM. Right past my bus stop. So I'm like....fuck. xD hehe So I'm like, "I'm gonna try something and if it doesn't work I'm gonna call dad" So I start walking to the bus stop by the BECU which is about a half mile away. Maybe a little more. As I'm waiting for the crosswalk to get there, I see the bus and it goes NEEERRRRRRRROOOOOMMM. Right past it. Dot, dot, dot. xD So I walk on thinking, well, I'll catch it at some point, and if not, I'll end up walking the rest of the 5 miles. XD So anyway, I'm walking along, and I realize....I've walked about 4 miles. So I'm on Everett Mall Wy, and I see this McDonald's and *sings* LAAAAAAA!! A bus stop! For the 11! But....dun dun duuuuun...there's a flippin' HOUR interval on Saturdays. XD So I stand there knitting for 25 minutes at the little bus stand thingy and lo and behold, there comes the next bus. So I whip out my bus card and hop on. xD There was like, a mile or less left, but dear God, that bus saved my ass!! XD
Then, after the movie and dinner....ROFL In my schedule book, the last R-11 leaves the mall at 6:30. So we're b.s.ing until about 6pm. We had dinner at 'Sbarro, and we got out to the mall station around 6:20. We're waiting. A R-13 showed up. I asked the driver, "Is this the 6:30 R-11?" and he said, "No, I'm turning into the 6:27 R-20." So I sat there, and pretty soon, once that bus left, and mine never showed, we were the only people at the station. I looked at the posted schedule, and the last R-11 left at 5:27pm. xD I had to call my dad to give me a ride home. LOL XDD

Molly Hatch (19:32 Uhr): wait how did u abuse this teachre verbally?
Michelle (19:32 Uhr): I was having a really bad day half way through Dec....and at lunch, this boy from my history class comes up to me, and he sits down. We talked about EVERYTHING. We became fast friends, but I never got his name.... he got mine about a week before ---------
Michelle (19:32 Uhr): I have no clue
Michelle (19:33 Uhr): anyway... -------- the last day of school before xmas break, I found him at his locker and I asked for his name. I knew I'd miss him greatly over the two week break. His name is Alex.
Michelle (19:34 Uhr): two days into winter break I was missing him like crazy...so I asked my friend if she knew him. when she said yes, I asked for his number. I called him every other day. so would he.
Michelle (19:34 Uhr): on christmas, I called him to wish him a merry christmas because I thought, "well, if I'm so down in the dumps today, I'll at least try to cheer him up..."
Michelle (19:34 Uhr): he answered the phone with "Merry Christmas, Michelle!"
Michelle (19:35 Uhr): (*blush* God, even then I was in love with him!! XD )
Michelle (19:35 Uhr): I told him merry christmas, then I couldn't help but sigh sadly

Michelle (19:40 Uhr): I was so confused
Michelle (19:40 Uhr): lol
Molly Hatch (19:40 Uhr): awww i wish boys at my school were like this

Michelle (19:41 Uhr): I was breathless

Michelle (19:51 Uhr): his ex is there next to me
Michelle (19:51 Uhr): in the dream he died of some sort of abdominal infections

A Woman In My Arms
At last I stepped out of the Shadows
The first thing I saw was your smiling face
At first you were scared to greet me then
Now look at me I have a woman in my arms
She loves me and I love her
But she loves to hear my heart when I hold her
Her sweet, loving blue air surrounds me
That my skin of stone has broken off
In the time we have been together she still doesn't know
Of my past she knows not for now
For soon after I give her this she will have my key
My key to my heart where my past is hidden
Little does she know that I do look back
But she's never there to see
For I have so much to say as she leaves
Michelle (19:58 Uhr): we both wrote poems to each other the SAME DAY
Michelle (19:58 Uhr): I wrote him a poem, and he wrote me a poem
Michelle (19:58 Uhr): SAME DAY, dude!

Michelle (20:00 Uhr): I read it on the bus......and I burst into tears
Molly Hatch (20:00 Uhr): it was really cool, i probably would have understood it better if i was there going to school w/ u when yall wrote them but, its beautiful

I had a very strange dream....it starts out and I'm staying the night at someone's house the bedroom is a guest-room/office with light blue walls and flat ceiling. Twin bed up against the wall by the door, desk and office things in a corner....one window...then this guy comes in...and says, "I'm so sick and fuckin tired of sleeping on that couch!" I couldn't see his face and I didn't recognize the voice under the thick mid-western accent.... so he crawls in with me and in the dream I didn't protest because in the dream I knew who he was. But now that I'm awake i can't remember anything about him. Just the house.... but anyway... I told him we should switch sides just in case someone comes in. So we did. We were sharing a twin bed. He was skinny enough it didn't really matter. So anyway.... we change sides on the bed...and he was laying on his back when my mom comes in...beer in hand. I quickly try to hide him under a blanket and she says, "Oh no, no, that's fine! I told him he should crawl in with you!" then she leaves the room, taking a swig of her beer. He turns over, back toward me. I spoon him and fall asleep. Now the weird part: in the dream I "wake up", but it's like a dream within a dream.....instead of really waking up. The whole "wake up" part...was in sepia tone or whatever. I had a gold band around my left hand ring finger. I was wearing a dress. The house had a main floor, and a basement there was a barn behind the house and a garage to the left of the house when you walk out the front door. There's also a relatively big tree out in front of the house by the driveway. There was a red truck. Like....a country hick's truck? I remember it was red, but everything else was sepia. The same man who shared the room with me the night before came out of the garage and he had a gold band on the same finger. I have to say that I was 3 months pregnant. I can't remember the man's face...So anyway I was working out in the front of the house, planting flowers when he came out of the garage asking if I was alright. I said, yes I'm fine. He put his arm around my shoulders, his touch was lighter than air. It was as if he wasn't real...just a dream...ya know? I stopped working with the flowers and I looked down the road to the horizon. I seemed to be waiting for something. I don't know...but the air...it was filled with electricity...like there was a big storm coming. He said, "It's coming. We better get the house ready..." he patted my shoulder and went inside. I woke up before I turned to follow him.
---
I told my friend about it and he started to flip out and when I asked what was wrong, he said: "WHAT THE F***?!?!?! THAT'S MY DAD'S FARM IN STANWOOD!!!!"

I was walking my boyfriend to the office so he could talk to his counselor today as I had first lunch today and I ran into my German teacher, Frau Sebastian. I did not go to school yesterday, due to an illness, so I never went to German class. This was our conversation, that my boyfriend overheard:
Frau: Olga! [Olga!]
Me: Guten Tag, Frau Sebastian! Wie geht es dir? [Good day, Mrs. Sebastian! How are you?]
Frau: Mir geht's gut, und dir? [I'm doing well, and you?]
Me: *sighs* Noch krank, aber gut, danke! [Sill sick, but good, thank you!]
Frau: Awww! Wo bist du denn gestern? [Awww! Where were you yesterday?]
Me: Zu hause. [At home.]
Frau: Doch! Jetzt muss ich gehe! Tschüß! [Really! I must go now! Bye!]
Me: Bis bald, Frau! [See you soon, Mrs.!]
My boyfriend had heard us talking and his face was priceless. I guess he didn't think I was serious when I said I could speak German! XDD I asked if he heard the whole conversation and he said he was listening out of curiosity. ROFL

One Walk: The Christmas Gift
One day long ago, I sent a letter to my love miles away. It was nearing Christmas time. I was still young, to young to have a love, and yet I had him. I now forget his name, but his lying words stayed true in my mind. My letter spoke of my Christmas wish. I was watching the snow fall in huge flakes outside through my window while I wrote this letter:
"If your love should ever be proved true to me, it shall be proved true by the snow falling on Christmas day, and your face at my door." I sent it, and within a week I had a reply. It claimed that he had no money to come for Christmas, but he promised to walk with me in the snow. What a false promise that was! How could it be done? He could not come for Christmas, and yet he promised to walk with me in the snow? I said good bye to him in my heart, and I burned every letter I got from him.
The next year's Christmas neared. I already found another boy, who made the same promises. I doubted it, but my heart was deeply wounded by my last love. He promised his words were true. I believed him until Christmas day arrived. His letters told me he had the money to come for a visit and the time to go for the walk I've dreamed of. So the night before Christmas that year, I knelt and prayed, regardless of my atheist parents preventing all prayer, that if he really loved me, and meant everything he's ever told me, that it would snow on Christmas day. The next morning, there wasn't any snow falling or on the ground. The entire day was absent of snowfall. I burned his letters as well. I cannot remember his name very well either.
The following year, I was then old enough to think about boys, but still naive about them. I requested the same thing as I did before. I wished the man to come visit for Christmas and to take a walk with me in the snow. The response led me on for the entire year, as before. The day before, I received a message that said he had no money, and even worse still: he was getting married in a week. I was heartbroken and told myself, never again. Never again will I trust a man.
The fourth year of this tale revealed to me a man who loved me. Or so I thought. Promises seemed true, written x's and o's on the received letters led me on again. He had my full trust. Then eventually we were engaged. Planning for a marriage in the following March, and eight children later in life, we were onto it. For me, it seemed that there was no betrayal written beneath the words. I decided that I don't deserve a man, or to be entirely happy. So I began writing my own betrayal. Since entering high school, there were plenty of chances to complete the betrayal. Though I actually cared for him, I wanted to take my revenge. I tried one boy, but the rumors spread too fast that I was a murderous whore, and so I lost him. I inadvertently tried another. We're now friends, and I send emails to my "fiance" telling word for word what that new boy and I talk about, and do. I'm slowly losing that fiance wanna-be.
This year, the fifth. With the boy who could see The Colors, the one who could be either angel or devil, I spoke on the phone. It was a brief call, as it was Christmas. I spoke of my hard past and with only half of the story complete, the boy told me in a confident voice, "I'll come over. I'll be there soon, okay?" I doubted him greatly. The Promise had been made so many times before. I said it was alright, not thinking. Then he hung up. A few minutes later, he called back, asking where I'd meet him. I through in a random location, the entrance to the complex where I live. An hour later, I checked out the window. No one was there. I began to shake, as anger of being played for the millionth time was rising in my wounded heart. I began to knit a scarf, and every row, or in time: 5 minutes, I checked out the window. I even called his number again and asked if he left yet. He had left. But that didn't mean he was coming for a Christmas Visit. Ten minutes later, I looked out the window and saw a tall, slender man walking into the complex. He was looking around, as if he were in search of something. I knew his walk. It was him. I screamed and nearly began to cry. I ran out of my house and then toward him. He saw me and began running towards me. We held each other for a time, then I led him to my house. The ancient hope in my heart began to flicker. Then doubt over-rode once again. That evening, as he was leaving, I walked him out the door. Something told me he wanted me to walk with him. So I did. I didn't realize that his aura, that brilliant, soft green had invited my wounded heart to live the dream it had put off for many years. I thank him, but I know that soon, even he who saved my heart for one evening, will betray me as the others have done already.

WOOO!!!! Our Holiday Choir/Guitar concert was tonight!!! It was so awesome!!!!
Okay, here's how I'm going to build suspense. I love writing everything in story form, so I will do so here.
A few weeks ago, I had my final Flake-dream. I say final because he was shot to death after saying good bye to me. Ever since, I have been worried over his state. Is he alright? Is he ill? What's going on?
Lately I have been seeing a few Flake look-a-likes around my school and walking along the streets.
Tonight, I saw another one. It wasn't just a look-a-like, it was a clone.
I was sitting in a chair with my guitar, praying that Flake would be alright, whatever's the matter. I looked over to find my parents by sight, and there was a person sitting there a few chairs over from me. I swear it was Flake. I really thought I was hallucinating.
Then, when I saw that the person was walking around for a while and conversing with others, I realized that I wasn't hallucinating. That person was real. I'd be damned if it really was Flake.
Later, when we were done performing and the climax was over, Ryan (my fellow student who played guitar with me) asked me if an amp he found was mine. I said no and pointed to where mine sat next to my parents. Someone came up behind me and stood next to me. The person started to talk to Ryan. I looked at Ryan and smiled, then I looked over.
Take one. A shorter version of Flake stood next to me.
Take two. I learn that it's Ryan's mother.
She's a very nice person!! She moves just like Flake when she laughs, too! She has cute, shy little laughs and she kinda jerks her body around.
Wooooo for Flake peoples!!!!
Over and out!

I met him on the bus to Leavenworth....then Colleen and I stayed with him all day. I acted shy, in case he was taken...so I only held onto his coat sleeve.....near the end of the day...he started to calm down from his normal state of insanity.....and he let me hold onto his arm instead of his coat.... this morning, I was looking for him....I found Colleen and since she was looking for him too, we looked for him together....we couldn't find him....but then as the bell rang to go to class, I saw him up ahead, soon to pass me by. I wasn't sure what to do....so I just waved and said, "Hey, Louis!" and you know what he did then? He SAW me! he actually saw me! and he actually said hi! No boy or girl has EVER done that to me at school or at home.....no one.... and not only did he say hi and wave enthusiastically.....he came over to me and gave me the biggest hug I have ever had in my LIFE...it lasted forever....I was happy I found him this morning....I was starting to miss my new friend. I'm sad to say I probably won't see him tomorrow either...because he has a different lunch than I do.
Yay for crazy awesome people like Louis!!!! xD

My teacher, Frau Sebastian, received at some point a chain letter in German. People have done this in English here in America, but today we did it in German. Here was my results and the descriptions of the meanings:
1. 88
2. 14
3. Tyler
4. Doug
5. Shanna
6. Ryan
7. Christian (Flake)
8. Grow Old Along With Me (Mary Chapin Carpenter)
9. Klavier (Rammstein)
10. One (Metallica)
11. Whale And Wasp (Alice In Chains)
----
Number 2 (she skipped no. 1) is the number of people you have to send this email to within one hour.
(I have to send the email to 14 people or my wish will not come true...lol I need the copy now!!! Darn! XD)
Number 3 is the person who loves you the most.
(OMG so true)
Number 4 is the person who likes you the most.
(OMFG TOTALLY TRUE. Doug is odd in his fascination with me....)
Number 5 is the person who knows you the best.
(how the heck does my mom know me well!?)
Number 6 is the person that is a positive influence on you.
(uhh...I put my little brother. XD I'm not sure if that's true or not.)
Number 7 is the person that you love the most, but a relationship with him/her would NEVER work.
(So true. Flake's 41 years old and divorced with 3 kids for gosh sakes. I love him to death but I can never have him for my own. lol)
Number 8 is the song that describes your feelings for the person in number 3.
(This was the song Tyler said he was going to chose for his wedding...o,o;; )
Number 9 is the song that coordinates somehow with the person in number 9.
(Flake is from Rammstein. Klavier is "his" song.)
Number 10 is the song describes perfectly who you are.
(I totally relate to this song. Every word screams "I AM YOU AND YOU ARE ME, LISTEN NOW AND YOU WILL SEE, YOUR LIFE IS ME!")
Number 11 is the song that describes how you view life.
(This song is everything i think life is. It's totally true.)
The truth score outta this that I got is about 95%, because some of them are kinda like..."eh, okay..." but the majority of it is TRUE.

During 4th period today we went to the computers in the library. I plopped down and looked over to the other chairs. Two seats over from me was Johannes, the exchange student from Germany! Before I even got the chance to greet him in German, his face lit up in a huge smile and he said, "Hey!!"
That was the first time he's talked to me without waiting for me to talk. :D That made my day!!!

---YAY!!! James came to school today!!! I so happy!!!! I saw him at the office this morning, but I had to go to my locker and he had business with one of his teachers, so we parted. Just as the bell rang and I took off to climb the stairs (in 2 1/2" heeled boots, climbing IS the right word...) to class. He got to the stairs first. I saw him, but he didn't see me. I called out his name, but he was busy with his headphones.
---At lunch (just after 3rd) I headed to my locker to do the A-day-switch-a-roo. I was gathering my books and making sure I had everything, when I looked up towards my locker. Who should I see, but the boy I had on my mind all day since I saw him in the office that morning. Jamie was at his locker. "JAMIE!!" I shouted, breaking into a run. "Hey!" he shouted back, closing his locker and running. We glomped and exchanged locker conversation.
---Locker conversation goes something like this:
Me: "I have to drop off my books...hold on a sec..."
Him: "Do you have lunch or class?"
Me: "Lunch."
Him: "Oh, good! Hurry up."
Me: "I'm trying to! I'm just excited that you're here! I haven't seen you for DAYS!"
Him: "Shyeah! Weeks, more like!"
Me: "Totally! Ok, done! Let's eat!"
Him: "I have to go to.....*blah blah blah*...."
---So we get to the cafeteria. He heads straight to the bench to sit with Lindsey and the gang. I have no problem with that. They're his friends. I'm his crazy fangirl. "I'll be with you in a few minutes, ok?" he says. I think to myself that he won't show up until two minutes to the bell. "Ok! I'll be by the choir room over there!" I say, not thinking anything of it.
---I get to the choir room, plop down, resting my feet. I take out the food from in my lunch bag, and no sooner than I punch the straw into my juice box does Jamie come around the corner. He never goes back to the table.
---We went outside. Him with a crushed ice drink, and me with my buffet of home food. I munched it all down in about 20 minutes. By then we had about 5 minutes of down time to talk.
---We talked about everything from our Thanksgiving to his shoe size, from my 7 mile bike ride to his hair color. So on and so forth until the bell rang. We hugged and said our good-byes and see-ya-laters and went off in the same direction. We started laughing. We forgot our 4ths are in the same direction, his upstairs, mine down. We walked together until the stair case. Then we said our final see-ya-later-check-your-emails and went on our way.
---Once home, I checked my email. Jamie-chan had replied. Which means he had checked his email like I requested. I was happy. ^^ I'll see him tomorrow in the study hall. We have have different lunches on B-days, but that's okay. I just get there early to go to the study hall. He's almost always there.
Peace!
---Michelle

He'll find the gun on the bus
There is no time for it to run away from us
I must dance
This is our only chance
The color turns to red
I fear the day it takes my head
There is no time for it to run away from us
I must dance
This is our only chance
The color turns to red
I fear the day it takes my head

His fingers press the keys,
Train my ears to hear,
What it is that to the soul it does please,
Washes away all my fear.
Placed within my heart,
And within my soul,
The precious art,
This music on my heart does toll.
Someday this man will no more be,
But his music remains,
Never to flee,
From our souls and our domain.
Even now, with faded light,
I can hear the cry of the fading seaman,
Rhyming notes of his final plight,
The keyboard that defeated our inner demon.
Someday I will ride the wind,
Flying to where he's been,
Take the keyboard of my hero,
And someday I will play the keys.
Someday I will press the keys,
And train the ears of a child,
To play what it is that to the soul does please,
And what makes it mild.

I fear greatly that my hero is going to die...soon...before I can meet him to thank him... It terrifies me... I hope I am able to meet him before he dies....unlikely...

Well, we had a sub teacher for German today. I'd say she's the best sub teacher for German we've had so far. Her name is Mrs. Venturo. She is multilingual. English is her fourth language. She was able to speak German to us, and her pronunciation was very good. She was very nice about everything and pretty much let me take over a lot of the things she had to do. She noticed I was the only one on top of things, as I was the only one to finish my work first and offer help to her and the other students. I was basically the S.T.A. for her today. She comes from Indonesia and would have still been there if her American husband hadn't "taken her here." Her husband is a tall, white American, standing about 6 foot 5 inches. She herself is only around 5 foot 4 inches at least. She had multiple stories to tell about herself, and we even covered some of my linguistic life.
All in all, I vote her the greatest sub I've ever had!!

OOOOOOOOH I LEARNED SOMETHING TODAY from an observation I made a few days back...
See, I've been studying Polish and Swedish in my spare time, right? Well, one of the common pronunciation rules for those two languages is that sk sounds like the English sh. WELL. In German, "Ski" is pronounced "shee". That's a trademark that came from Polish and other Nordic languages. That is so cool! XD
Languages are awesome!!!!
I  LANGUAGES!!

“A soul needs a purpose to live and so I concluded that my purpose was to kill everyone besides myself. I felt alive”
this was in someone's signature on dA. I took a liking to it.

In my three days off (this being my last day) from school, I decided to kick my language studies back into gear. I haven't gotten to do much studying on my own due to exhaustion, laziness and the occasional homework. LOL
Yesterday, I didn't know a word of Swedish. Well, maybe four words, but not anything significant. And I didn't even know how to say them. "Jag", "ja", "nej" and "Hej där" ("I", "yes", "no" and "Hey there/Hello!" respectively)
Yesterday, I picked up the Teach Yourself Swedish book I got from the library and I studied the pronunciation chart until I was confident in it. Then, I began reading the first Samtal (Dialogue) in the book. I, being a student of German, could figure out what the sentences meant just by looking at the context. I had never attempted Swedish before and I was understanding almost every word of it.
Now, I can say three sentences:
What is your name? ("Vad heter Du?")
My name is... ("Jag är...")
I am Swedish. ("Jag är svenska.")
As well as a few other select words.
I am now organizing my own language program to put up on YouTube. These are the languages I will eventually have lessons for:
Japanese (Nihongo)
German (Deutsch)
Russian (Po-ruskij)
Swedish (Svenska)
Polish (Polski)
Korean (Hangungmal)
Chinese (Hanyu)
Spanish (Espanol)
Italian (L'italiano)
French (Fracais)
Norwegian
Hindi or Arabic
And any requested languages as well.

Day 1
I found her. The one going down. She will suffer.
Day 2
Her left eye is gone. She never saw me. My bloodied dagger is in my rucksack, wiped clean.
Day 3
Her right eye is gone. She'll never see the rest. My dagger is once more in my rucksack, wiped clean, waiting for the next strike.
Day 4
Her left ear is gone, robbed of the earrings. Her 14 carrot gold necklace is gone as well. Earrings, dagger, and necklace placed neatly in my rucksack.
Day 5
The jewelery is cleaned. The highest bid is $78 as of this evening. It goes up $25 every hour.
Day 6
Her skull was smashed against the restroom stall. I chased her there. The restroom was empty. She didn't know it was the men's. I raided her right earlobe, stashing the earrings in my rucksack. The dagger was plunged through her throat, her head immersed in the toilet water. Her pockets contained that day's lunch money. A total of $5 dollars. She must have been planning on buying two lunches. The rest of her body jewelery and her clothing was stashed in my rucksack. I used my dagger to carve "BOOL! THE END!" on her back.
Day 7
She was found today. No fingerprints on her. Her funeral is tomorrow. I will return her ear and eyes on the grave stone. The jewelery was sold for $265 each piece. The money is put away in a box. Life is going as planned. One hell of a way to go. The cuffs are coming. I am guilty. I am leaving. My name is new. The plane is flying. I'm going home.

Bathroom Humor at its finest:
Ghost Poopie
The kind where you feel the poopie come out, but there is no poopie in the toilet.
Clean Poopie
The kind where you poopie it out, see it in the toilet, but there is nothing on the toilet paper.
Wet Poopie
The kind where you wipe your butt 50 times and it still feels unwiped, so you have to put some toilet paper between your butt and underwear so you won't ruin them with a stain.
Second Wave Poopie
This happens when you're done Poopie-ing and you've pulled up your pants to your knees, and you realize that you have to Poopie some more.
Pop-A-Vein-In-Your-Forehead-Poopie
The kind where you strain so much to get it out, you practically have a stroke.
Gassy Poopie
It's so noisy, everyone within earshot is laughing.
Drinker Poopie
The kind of Poopie you have the morning after a long night of drinking. Its most noticeable trait is the skid marks on the bottom of the toilet.
Lincoln Log Poopie
The kind of Poopie that is so huge you're afraid to flush without first breaking it into little pieces with the toilet brush.
Corn Poopie
Self-explanatory.
Gee-I-Wish-I-Could-Poopie Poopie
The kind where you want to Poopie but all you do is sit on the toilet and fart a few times.
Spinal Tap Poopie
That's where it hurts so badly coming out, you would swear it was leaving you sideways.
Wet Cheeks Poopie (The Power Dump)
The kind that comes out of your butt so fast, your butt gets splashed with water.
Liquid Poopie
The kind where yellowish-brown liquid shoots out your butt and splashes all over the toilet bowl.
Mexican Poopie
It smells so bad your nose burns.
The Surprise Poopie
You're not even at the toilet because you are sure you're about to fart, but oops.......a Poopie!!!
The Dangling Poopie
This Poopie refuses to drop into the toilet even though you know you are done Poopie-ing it. You just pray that a shake or two will cut it loose.

Tomorrow in 5th Period my teacher's giving me $10!!!! That is awesome. XD
See, I made a scarf with the colors of the Flag of Germany. I wore it to school yesterday and today. Frau Sebastian saw it during lunch the day before yesterday and immediately said, "Oh My God, I LOVE that scarf!!!" and when I said that I had made it myself, she asked if I could make her one. I agreed and we settled on $10 today. So I'll get the money tomorrow and get her scarf done over the weekend.
I'm also going to tell Colleen that $5 for the belt is fine with me. So I'll be getting $5 from her for a belt. XD
Woot for money! Woot for talent! XD Woot for free weekends! lol

Today in Deutsch Klub, I was able to meet up with not only some other teens interested in German culture/language, but an exchange student from Baden-Würtenburg, Germany! He's a really nice person.
When he first walked in, I didn't realize that could have been the exchange student I've heard about. When I asked my Deutschlehrerin, Frau Sebastian, "Where is Johannes?" (auf Deutsch gefragen: „Wo ist Johannes?") She pointed to the red haired boy that walked in.
He told us some things about Germany, his hometown, Stuttgart's mini-Oktoberfest and other things.
Johannes has been in the U.S.A. for three weeks and has studied English that long as well. His English is very good!! Beside the accent, his English is close to perfect.
I can't wait for next Tuesday to get to meet him again!!!

Save me from this...
This undeniable, inevitable truth...
It kills me...
I am weak...
Truth is a field,
No one walks.
It's easier and less painful,
To walk a path of lies.
Fed to us from a grand table.
No one can soar above,
We are all brought down.
Living with the dogs.
I am you,
And you are me.
Never say never.
Truth comes with heart.
Block truth out,
Open wide:
Lies are for the inevitable dessert.
The main course, truth,
Like nails, goes down hard
But makes wise
Those who have had their teeth frozen
By constant lies.
Lies are the nails on the crucifix.
Truth is a boat with billowed sails,
Lies are a bed of nails.
Save me from this...
This undeniable, inevitable truth...

Sunshine (26.9.07)
Calling all sunshine!
Calling all sunshine!
When the moon goes down,
Our rest goes down.
When the sun comes up,
Our hearts come up.
Flying into the sunrise,
On a wisp of the hurricane.
We fly through life,
Fixing only a number in the sudoku,
Weaving a certain thread,
Making our lives all the more better.
Calling all sunshine!
Calling all sunshine!
There's no reason to step down,
From the chance at the good life.
If one chair was the good life,
It one chair was the bad life,
One had thorns in the fabrication,
One had no thorns.
Which chair would you take?
Calling all sunshine!
Calling all sunshine!
Rise for us, and the good life!
Both are dedicated to Ty-kun and Mady-chan.

There was once a boy in high school who knew how he wanted to live his life. He took classes to better understand his talents to give him the opportunity to do what he always wanted to do. He was Hungarian. One of his peers was a Turkish girl named Handan, she was a very poor girl, tried in the ways of a housewife long before her time. She was not taught to view life with an open heart and mind. She went to school, but she found she could not study on her own. She met Ahmet, a Hungarian born Turk. A very headstrong, confident person he was. He had a goal. She wanted a goal. She got up the courage to speak to him, but as she approached him, she found his goal had started to play out. "Good-bye, everyone!" he said, waving, "See you next year!" Handan watched him go away in an airport shuttle. He was going to Hungary for a year. He already spoke Hungarian. At the beginning he spoke nothing of the language. Handan spent the next four months pondering how he was so excited to be alive and so successful with his dream.
